Purpose:

SELAH Christian Schools is a support group for Christian homeschooling families. We offer encouragement and instruction for parents and children, learning and social activities, and resource information. Membership is open to those educating their children at home. All applicants must meet the requirements for Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) membership and must be members of HSLDA if your child is of legal school age.

Organization:

SELAH is divided up into homegroups which meet separately in homes. Each homegroup has a different focus and location, which is explained in their descriptions.

Services:

Library
SELAH has an extensive library available to its members. A complete list of the books is available on the "Library" section of this website.

Activities:

Parents' Night Out and Homegroup Activities
Three times a year, all the parents in SELAH get together for a Parents' Night Out, featuring speakers or presentations from the homeschool community. In addition, each homegroup plans activities, usually including monthly meetings of the moms for encouragement and support.

Picture Day
In the fall of each year, SELAH members have the opportunity to purchase their children's photo.

Field Trips
Each group organizes their own field trips. Occasionally, SELAH will organize a field trip for all members. These often require a small fee.

See Calendar for details of current activities.
